- Advantages and peculiarities of application
- versatility of operation against aerial and ground targets;
- capability of firing on he move;
- modular design enables mounting on wheeled, tracked, towed and stationary bases;
- availability of a jamproof multiband radar-optical control system;
- all-weather and round-the-clock application;
- application of a small-size surface-to-air missile with a command guidance system;
- simultaneous engagement of four targets – three targets in radar mode, one target in optical mode;
- versatility of combat operation – stand-alone, «Master-Slave» mode as well as under control of a battery command post.
Combat vehicle
The Combat vehicle is designed for accomplishment of system inherent tasks, i.e. engagement of wide variety of aerodynamic targets – manned aircrafts, UAVs, high-precision weapons and anti-radiation missiles - in all instances of combat application, round-the-clock and at all cases of interference.
Stand-alone combat application is conditioned by integration of target detection, tracking and engagement means within a combat unit.
The modular design taken as the basis for making of the combat vehicle enables its mounting on different transporting platforms or use it as a stationary variant.
Unit Control Posts
- The Control post of a battalion (regiment) is designed for automated control over combat operations of AD units and subunits, provided with ADMGS "Pantsir-S1", during repulse of massive enemy air strikes.
- The tasks accomplished by the regiment control post during warfare:
- planning of combat operations and development of combat documents (commander’s decision);
- planning of operating frequencies of regiment radio electronic assets (detection radar, battalions, radio assets of the CP);
- calculation of coverage angles for selected positions of a detection radar, calculation of detection zones of a detection radar as well as of battalion firing sectors;
- routing and displaying of battalion routes and a regiment CP on digital maps during redeployment;
- survey control and orientation of regiment assets (CP, detection
- radar).

TLV is designed for
- Transporting and storage of two ammunition loads for a CV (24 SAMs+2800 30-mm rounds);
- Loading of ammunition from ground and cargo vehicles;
- Loading-unloading of CV ammunition.
Maintenance assets
EMV is designed for:
- Maintenance 1 and maintenance 2 of the CV electronic units, as well as for finding and elimination of failures (repair), namely:
- Automated diagnostic of faulty units, elimination of failures by replacement of a faulty component with one taken from common spare parts kit, after-repair adjustment;
- Current repair of radio-electronic and optronic systems of a CV.
MMV is designed for
- Maintenance 1 and maintenance 2 of the CV mechanical systems;
- Maintenance and current repair of the CV, TLV, EMV, MMV, AV and Spare parts vehicle chassis using common spare parts kit;
- Transportation of common spare parts kit components (mechanical assemblies).
- Spare parts vehicle is designed for stowage, storage and transportation of a battery common spare parts, tools and accessories kit (electronic units) for a CV.
- AV is designed for adjustment of the radio-electronic and optronic systems of a CV.
- BK TE is designed for inspectorial selective check of SAMs during storage. The check of a SAM is carried out automatically without extraction from its tube.
