Airbus revela revela el futuro concepto de cómo será su caza de quinta generación

La fuerza aérea alemana quiere reemplazar cuanto antes su flota de aviones de combate Panavia Tornado.

La corporación Airbus Defence and Space ha revelado públicamente cómo será el caza de quinta generación de la Unión Europea que reemplazará a los aviones de combate Eurofighter Typhoon y Dassault Rafale,

Se trata del New Fighter, cuyo proyecto ha sido presentado esta semana en Berlín y formará parte de una familia de aeronaves tripuladas y no tripuladas (Future Combat Air System). Se estima que el caza europeo de quinta generación estará listo para 2040 y será desarrollado conjuntamente por Alemania y Francia.

Sin embargo, la fuerza aérea alemana se ha propuesto reemplazar su flota de aviones de combate Panavia Tornado a partir de 2025 y el proceso de jubilación de esas aeronaves debería finalizar para 2030. Por esta razón Berlín está buscando un avión que ya esté en funcionamiento, comunicaron fuentes del Ministerio de Defensa germano.

La "opción preferida" para sustituir a los Tornado alemanes es el caza estadounidense de quinta generación F-35 Lightning II de Lockheed Martin. "El reemplazo debe ser un avión de quinta generación que pueda detectarse lo más tarde posible. Debe ser capaz de identificar los objetivos desde una gran distancia y dirigirse a ellos lo antes posible", indicaron las mismas fuentes.

BAE Systems Australia is ready to demonstrate its solution to the Australian Army’s mounted combat reconnaissance requirements.

Our three test vehicles are built and ready to go for the Army’s 12 months testing in the Risk Mitigation stage of the tender evaluation later this year.

The vehicle integrates the combat-proven CV9035 turret from BAE Systems Hagglunds onto a modern, agile, highly protected military-off-the-shelf (MOTS) Patria Armoured Modular Vehicle (AMV).

The Land 400 Phase 2 Down Select for evaluation of tender vehicles is expected to be announced toward the end of the first quarter of this year.

LAND COMBAT VEHICLE SYSTEM

LAND 400 seeks to enhance the mounted close combat capability of Australia's Land Force.

The program will provide armoured fighting vehicles with improved firepower, protection, mobility and digital communications to enable tactical success in current and future operational environments.
